Our Story

This all began with some observations and hard truths. While “mission” and “equity” are more than buzzwords, too many organizations don’t know where to begin, are overwhelmed, or their leaders feel stuck.

Based on practical experience and real results, this consultancy was birthed to provide organizations with the blueprints needed to drive better outcomes for our communities.

Meet Our Founder

April Mickens Jolly, MBA, MHA is the practice founder, lead consultant, and coach, with over 20 years of experience leading and achieving, serving as a catalyst for excellence and equity in every space she occupies.

Whether in a publicly-traded Fortune 500, a private equity-funded provider organization, a health equity public/private partnership, a regional reproductive health provider, or through not-for-profit board service, April has always seen relationships, integrity, and curiosity as core to meeting the mission.

Having developed numerous strategies, led implementations, generated resources, and been accountable for achieving strategic outcomes - she often reminds partners that no single person has all the answers, and that clarity can often come from those who bring a fresh perspective. This is also why part of the practice focuses on supporting leaders over transformative efforts through coaching and competency-building. A healthy culture - observed and experienced through an organization’s leaders - is essential to achieving the mission.
